This campaign is addressed to all those with an interest and sensitivity in issues related to energy efficiency and especially to those who live in the Poblats Marítims District, which includes the Malvarrosa, Cabanyal-Canyamelar, Grao, Nazaret and Beteró neighborhoods.

“Del Marítim al Món” is one of the actions of “El Marítim Innova” whose objective is to promote energy efficiency in the homes of Poblats Marítims.”

The Councilor for Innovation of the Valencia City Council, Carlos Galiana, has encouraged the citizens of Poblats Marítims to participate in this campaign whose slogan makes their intentions clear: “We want Poblats Marítims to be an international reference of how we can help to have a more sustainable planet by learning to reduce our energy consumption at home.”

“The residents of the Marítim will be able to save energy up to 10% in their homes for free through sensors and a mobile app.”

Along these lines, the mayor explained that a campaign has been launched to encourage citizen participation and to explain the multiple benefits of this campaign, “Starting with the economic ones, since 10% can be saved on bills at the end of the month. However the campaign is also thought to improve the local environment both for the neighborhood, as well as for the city and the planet at large”.

Specifically, sensors will be installed in the participating homes that will collect anonymized data on electricity and gas consumption, temperature and indoor humidity. All this information can be consulted by each participant privately thanks to a mobile application. In addition, participants will be able to receive personalized and professional advice to improve their consumption.

Participation, which does not have any type of obligation of permanence, is free, as well as installation, training for the use of the APP, advice, and uninstallation.
