Antalya Metropolitan Municipality will hold a “Project Contest for Sustainable Urban Mobility” as part of the European Mobility Week between 16-22 September. The contest has various aims:
- develop the transportation planning and public transport system of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality,
- increase cycle and pedestrian paths,
- encourage citizens to use alternative means of transport instead of their personal vehicles,
- and ensure active participation.
The European Mobility Week has a different theme each year. In 2020 the event focuses on “Zero-emission mobility for all”.
As one of the 14 metropolitan municipalities of Turkey participating in the European Mobility Week, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is holding the contest to include citizens in urban solutions and to build cooperation, especially with young people.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: SEPTEMBER 7
First prize is an electric scooter, the second a bike and the third a scooter.
The contest aims to raise awareness of the citizens and especially young people on sustainability in transportation, teamwork, project development, problem-solving, leadership, and responsible citizenship. It is free to enter and no age limit applies.
