More specifically, the workshop reviewed the current Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) whose goals were set out in 2012. Delegates discussed which data is required for the new SECAP.

FIRST MUNICIPALITY TO PREPARE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY PLAN

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality was the first city in Turkey to set out a Sustainable Energy Action Plan and it has integrated the fight against climate change into its sustainability policy. The new SECAP sets out how much reduction in CO2 should be reached by 2030 and 2050 in line with criteria laid down by the Covenant of Mayors of which the municipality is a member.
